Elvis was a client turned surrender due to unforeseen circumstances. He is a 4-year-old American Bull Staffordshire Terrier Shepherd Mix. Elvis came to me frustrated, with high arousal issues and lots of destructive energy as a young puppy. He has developed into the goofiest couch potato who loves everyone. Elvis is neutered and gets along with all dogs of any size and has learned to calm his excitement around cats and birds! He is extremely food and toy motivated, loves to work and play. He has a disdain for being outside in any weather, endless he has a friend to play with, but once play time is over he requires a temperature controlled environment to take naps and get butt scratches! He settles nicely in the house and often prefers to be one with the couch. Left to his own devices he would nap most of the day. He is extremely eager to please and would be considered a medium soft dog. He takes verbal corrections very well and when he occasionally needs more he is softer but will test boundaries on occasion. He has grown into a very sweet boy who adjusts his play style to the dog in front of him but requires supervising due to his strong body and favorite moves being butt whacking and under belly kicking! He has gone to herding lessons and enjoys watching the sheep but not entirely sure what to do with them. He enjoys playing with water but still has not swam. He is no hiker but he walks beautifully on the treadmill and loves weight pulling.
